Pros
- Self employed so you can take any days off as you please (must work minimum 4 days a week, weekends are gaurenteed as alot only want mon-fri)
- Diverse teams including female drivers
- Opportunity to travel around when cover is needed out of other sites
- Opportunity to do a different range of jobs within your own contract which enhances CV from the skills (i.e. delivering, on site manager, pick ups from businesses that sell on amazon, training new drivers)
- If we require a van, nothing is older than 2017, most of them are 2020/2021
- Starting us out on a smaller van to get used to the job really helps boost confidence before moving to a larger one (if you want one)
- Lots of happy and friendly customers during the day! :)
Cons
- Delivering for Amazon who are insanly demanding at times
- The recruitment process needs to make sense as there is a huge staff turn around with amazon DAs in general, but also some don't even make it past training before leaving
- Pay could be better with rising costs of fuel especially (that's directed to amazon who forward the pay to us via our company)!
- The van rental stings which actually puts alot of new drivers off at £200/week
