Pros

Remote work that provides you with all necessary equipment, Long training process with kind trainers, Good retirement package, Offers a myriad of different health plans (though it is not fantastic insurance, but it gets the job done), supportive peers. Baseline livable salary for an entry level position as long as you can make your commission - truly no other experience needed, they will teach you everything

Cons

Upper management is so far removed from everyday work that all call center workers are simply profit machines to them. Management is not transparent about anything - and this has only gotten worse with new management changes in the membership call center, Pay is not competitive once you learn enough to be past entry level and there is no salary transparency - new associates come in making more than people who have been there 5+ years. There is no cost of living raise - just a very meager raise every year based on performance. Management is scattered and you will get a different answer for a question depending on who you ask. Call center is busy and managers do not fully support staff taking calls during busy times. Thank yous were empty and the company uses a "we're all family here" mentality to get away with working you to the bone and consistently asking for overtime and extra and sometimes illegal work. As someone else said - they expect you to work with them, but when its time for them to work with you, they will lie and say they will and then let you flounder. No holidays off and management is very brutal when it comes to taking any sort of PTO - There is no separation between vacation and sick time so if you are disabled or get sick easily don't expect to ever have vacation time, even on holidays. I had to cancel doctors appointments even after putting in months ahead of time for time off. I do not recommend this job for anyone looking for career advancement. This is a job full of empty promises in a high stress environment that is driven entirely by profit and does not care about its employees nor its members. The retention is terrible for a reason - and this is coming from a former top performer.

We appreciate your detailed feedback regarding your experience with AAA Club Alliance. It's great to hear about the remote work setup and supportive trainers. The variety of health plans and retirement packages are notable advantages, as is the support from your peers. Your statements about upper management will be forwarded appropriately. You mentioned better DE&I initiatives, we would like to note that we do have a DE&I team that works to build inclusion and support throughout our organization. We also have recently developed Associate- led Business Resource Groups to further support our team. Your feedback is invaluable and helps identify areas where changes can lead to a more positive and productive work environment for employees. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

Pros

if you build relationships internal you have a great chance in advancing in your career. The career paths are unlimited. you can start out on the phones making 12.00 hr and end up as a manager in data analytics making 102k annually

Cons

Its convenient but they will lowball you when negotiating pay if your an internal employee considering they already have insight on exactly what your getting paid now so they will consider you receiving a good pay jump from your last position instead of what the market if for the current position your are being promoted to. For example if your new position rand is 60k-90k the will start you off at 60k, knowing that you where making 42k. They will not negotiate, its a take it or leave it.
