Here's to keeping real about this company... I was interviewed by 3 people at once, Not a big deal for me. But for some, it might be. Everything about me, like being a recently returning veteran from a one year deployment, having 6 years successful corporate/executive level sales experience and having zero plastics industry experience was made clear in my interview. Upon the start of my employment I was excited for the "opportunity" they said the company had. I was excited to learn a brand new industry and having something stable in-order to provide for my family after having been overseas. I shortly found that the company gives you ZERO sales training and product knowledge training outside of learning the computer software, in-order for you to be successful in selling their product. I even spent a few 8 hour days sitting behind my desk doing nothing as I wasn't, in managements words "trained for sales" yet. After one week, I was released for sales and answering phones, the owner shortly after informed of a potential sales goal of 10 Million per month per sales employee. During a sales/phone call list "review" meeting, I was spoken to very discouragingly with an ugly tone by the owner,. Saying I needed to "learn how to sell" - because I hadn't uncovered any potential opportunities that day. Which as we know, happens in sales sometimes. The other sales guy didn't have anything nice to say about things said to him after that meeting either. Every meeting throughout my time here was left was a negative feeling. Upon asking for advice/sales/product training in this new industry - I was told I was overthinking things but also told I didn't know anything and made to feel bad about it. How about some actual training management? Can't expect 10 million sold and solid customer relationships if you aren't training your people! Here's the kicker, there was never any defined sales goals. Ever. I also pulled 10-12,000 in sales in my first month with no plastic industry experience. I'm rather proud of that. I was with this company for a little over a month and was friendly with everyone, took people out lunch numerous times, brought in bagels etc etc. Even had customers review me very positively to management. The kicker is, my little 17 year old brother passes away right after my one month mark and the company tells me, "take the time you need and let us know when your ready to return". After having been in communication with management numerous times throughout my brothers passing, 5 days go by and I was ready to return - upon telling them -I was fired! I was told the reasons were based on attendance of missing 5 days and sales performance of goals that were never clearly defined for me as a new employee (outside of a potential implementation of 10 million per month)! Y You as a new potential employee of this company can draw own conclusions about this company. This was my experience on how I was treated within one month of employment. No matter what response this company gives, this is EXACTLY and truthfully how I was treated and how things went down.
