Pros

Large scale projects - career experience Get to work big hours with the opportunity of employee shares

Cons

All company operations are centred around the Brisbane team, which shares an office space with Hutchison Builders. This collaboration has bred a really toxic work culture. The office enviroment allows for uninvited hutchies staff walk into ADG offcies at any stage of the day which makes for a hugely disruptive and a stressful workplace. Senior Management Team severely disconnected with operational staff, constantly lying and dishonest with managers and senior staff. The organisaton has consistently had huge staff turnover for a long time; the long term staff are people who have never worked anywhere else.

Thank you for your feedback. ADG has always had a culture of developing partnerships with our clients and supporting their Business and growth. This has provided our team the opportunity to work on some very iconic and unique projects across the country in many sectors including transport infrastructure, tall buildings, education, and health to name a few. Our offices are all located in standalone premises and our leaders all take a hands-on approach to working with our clients and our teams on projects. We highly value and support our clients and the development and growth of our very talented team of people in all our offices and regions.

Pros

The company provides flexible work arrangements.

Cons

Despite positioning itself as a forward-thinking organisation, the company consistently overlooks individuals with exceptional capabilities in favour of safer, more conventional choices. High-potential employees are often underutilised, unchallenged, and ultimately disengaged due to a lack of meaningful investment in their growth. There is little evidence of a structured approach to talent development or succession planning. Opportunities for advancement seem to favour tenure over merit, and innovation is frequently stifled by rigid processes and risk-averse leadership. Compounding these challenges, the company’s salary structure is notably below industry standards. This significant pay gap further diminishes motivation and hampers the ability to retain top talent. In short, this is not a place where ambitious, high-performing individuals will thrive. Those looking to make a real impact or grow beyond a narrow scope would be better served elsewhere.
