Good for experience - Lab Technician AGAT Laboratories Employee Review

I was hired before the management changed and the situation at that point was different. Recent Canadian Univeristy graduates and even final year students were given the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule. Not sure if same situation applies to new hires. Definitely take up the chance if you have no to very little experience as jobs are very hard to find in this industry for new graduates. Opportunity to gain experience with equipments, instruments, general lab techniques, understanding the theory behind instruments, pippeting techniques and making solutions. An opportunity to learn how to work in a fast paced workplace. Most important pro is the friendly coworkers. You will not find the best people to work with in any laboratory in Mississauga. Everyone cares and everyone helps one another. Sometimes management don't micromanage if you know what you are doing. If you put aside the poor management environment, low pay aside, unfair treatment aside, and look at all the pros, undoubtedly in a year or two you would be able to get opportunities with different & better paying companies. ( Some former employees make $10-$25 /hr more than how much they made at Agat)
