Pros

There are a lot of great people that work here, and there was a lot of opportunity to move up and grow. Typically is a great place to start a career, but not a lot of people stay for several years anymore. The culture is pretty laid back and the dress code is relaxed for financial services. Depending on the position, hours are flexible and working from home is possible sometimes. The downtown location is great, and although parking isn’t cheap, it is somewhat reasonable. Benefits are fine, not mind blowing.

Cons

Still not much of a training program in a lot of departments, which can make the on boarding stressful and confusing. SS&C has implemented cost cutting and doesn’t want to backfill positions as people leave, which has led to more and more people leaving which puts additional stress on others. The pay for the field is lower than most places, and there is no real set bonuses typically, so they can change a lot from year to year. Senior leaders are often distance and not in touch with a lot of their employees, meetings are often pushed and never happen with them, which can seem as if they apathetic about employee happiness. Doesn’t feel like a place people want to make a career out of anymore, and those with talent that rise quickly often leave for better opportunities.
