Pros

I no longer work for them.

Cons

I worked for small company that was bought out by them in early 2021. They stated nothing would be done for at least a year and within 5 months were doing layoffs. Did first set of furloughs right at Christmas and then another set with a lot of same people in March 2022. This company was very profitable and successful globally until Ametek took over. They started making our biggest customers angry because Ametek didn’t want to have project orders in house because of margins being smaller. Those project orders were what kept work steady for us to keep it all rolling why we got non projects in house with bigger margins. They also failed to factor in when they stopped doing the projects we lost a lot of our non project large margin work because of how it was handled. They never seemed interested in continuing the success of our organization, and lied about how it all would be handled the entire way.

Pros

Flexible start time (6–8 AM) and ability to make up missed time. Supportive direct management and good work-life balance. Opportunity to learn a variety of manufacturing skills.

Cons

Compensation is not competitive with the current manufacturing market. Limited career growth and advancement opportunities for technicians. Skilled employees often need outside offers to receive meaningful pay adjustments. Random drug testing policy may be a drawback for some candidates.
