Where do you start. EXTREMELY conservative company and HIGHLY risk averse. Draw hard lines in the sand with terms and conditions and will walk away from revenue.
Biggest problem is compensation! The "Sales Incentive Plan" is anything but. It has a hard cap, and a floor which means you don't get paid on any deals until you hit 50% of your number, and then caps you at 150% of your number.
It's an accounting tool designed to limit the cost of a sales person into a nice little bucket.
If you want to make money or work for a company focused on growth, DO NOT work for an AMETEK owned company. Go somewhere else.
Add into that unrealistic growth targets with little to no investment in helping to achieve those numbers, it means that people stand a real chance of not making any money.
Finally, if you're not careful, the way the plan is structured, you could end up OWING the company money... as crazy as that sounds, it's not that far of a stretch to end up in that situation.
If I could give 0 for comp and benefits, I would.
