Where do I start? Low pay, expensive benefits, mandatory Saturdays. While the CEO is fantastic, that absolutely does not translate to lower level management. One of the most important aspects of working for a company is your direct manager. If you get the wrong one, your job is a living nightmare. Mine favors public humiliation, encourages gossip about your coworkers, and belittling you for not doing your job to their expectations. We were encouraged to rat each other out for not having a positive attitude, when most people I knew at work hated the job and were desperately hanging on for the elusive promotion. We were regularly pulled into conference rooms in small groups to give feedback on our coworkers' abilities, job performance, and whether they ever stood a chance at being promoted. Highly unprofessional management with very unrealistic performance expectations, considering the tools we were given. Watch your back here. There are eyes and years everywhere and politics runs rampant. If you're desperate for a job, it's an ok place to work for a short time, but know what you're getting into.
