Pros

Working remote in Oshkosh, WI

Cons

-They let an entire team of recruiters randomly work on ALL of the reqs so people are constantly stepping on each others' toes. -They have THREE of their brands harassing doctors out of the SAME database lol Who's idea was that? Probably my trainer's idea - he doesn't know what LinkedIn Recruiter is :-) -They verbally offered me more money than what was in my offer letter (which they wouldnt give me until the FOURTH day of my onsite training) and never fixed it. They solely rely on making a million phone calls and don't encourage additional sourcing. -Leaders panic & get defensive at the first sight of professional push back (They were defensive when we couldnt find a conference room for our meeting and I suggested everyone just video in from their desk - they looked at me like I was from outer space and canceled the meeting instead. This is a first recruiting job for a lot of the employees so they don't know any better - my heart goes out to them because they deserve better. Well, I think that paints a relatively accurate picture.

Pros

My experience with AMN’s hiring and onboarding process has been truly best-in-class. Every interaction—from Talent Acquisition to leadership—was professional, thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely human. Communication was clear and timely, expectations were well managed, and I felt respected throughout the entire process. What stood out most was the people-centered culture. AMN doesn’t just talk about values—you can feel them in how they engage with candidates and new team members. The onboarding experience has been equally impressive: organized, welcoming, and intentional. I’m excited to be part of an organization that leads with both excellence and heart.

Cons

None that I have encountered yet.

Pros

AMN Healthcare is a company with a clear purpose and a strong emphasis on people, development, and collaboration. There’s a genuine effort to create an inclusive and supportive culture, and you’ll find a lot of passionate individuals who care about the work and the impact it has on healthcare communities. Strong mission and purpose — Work feels meaningful, especially knowing it contributes to healthcare outcomes Investment in development — Opportunities for learning, mentorship, and career growth are visible and encouraged Collaborative culture — Many teams are supportive and willing to partner across functions AMN Healthcare is a strong place to grow your career if you value purpose-driven work and development opportunities. The biggest opportunity lies in simplifying how work gets done and ensuring consistent experiences across teams.

Cons

That said, like many large and evolving organizations, there can be challenges around alignment, prioritization, and navigating complexity across teams. The experience can vary significantly depending on your role, leader, and part of the business. Organizational complexity — Navigating systems, processes, and cross-functional work can sometimes feel heavy or unclear Inconsistent experiences across teams — Culture and execution can vary depending on leadership and business unit
