Pros

Wonderful clients and staff, most staff genuinely care about their clients and want them to do well, they're looking into increasing DSP pay to current market standards, good amount of PTO.

Cons

Poor management, no growth opportunity, toxic environment. They expect you to work like a dog for low pay, be grateful for the opportunity to do so, and will punish you if you're not. The staff do their best, but it's hard for anyone to stay motivated under complacent and unsupportive leadership. Micromanaging is rampant. You'll never get any on the job training after NEO, you'll have to figure everything out for yourself and simply hope you get it right. Management is completely out of touch. Promotions are given based on friendships over performance. Get used to sucking up to the right people if you expect a future here. Bottom line, if you're not happy in your position here, leave sooner than later. Nothing here will ever improve until different people are in charge.

Pros

The families are dedicated to their children.

Cons

Compromised Culture: Management fosters an environment rooted in anxiety and fear rather than psychological safety. Divisive Leadership: Favoritism is rampant. Not everyone is held to the same standards, including company policies. Staff is actively pitted against each other to undermine cohesion. Lack of Confidentiality: Management routinely gossips and bad-mouths current and former employees, showing zero professional discretion. Stifled Growth: Ideas are routinely co-opted by leadership without proper attribution, and professional advancement is actively discouraged. Lack of work life balance: exempt employees are expected to be available at all times. Micromanaging fueled by a lack of trust leads to a lack of autonomy, self motivation, and professional growth. Standard operating procedures are often changed without notice leading to unclear guidelines and more fear to respond to act.
