Pros
More than most global companies, the work experience at Abengoa will vary depending on location and manager. My manager was great and helped me to grow professionally, work independently, and openly appreciated my work. Occasional travel to Seville, Spain is a nice perk.
Cons
Terrible planning and communication from management. Projects are poorly planned and implemented, and the company moves on to other plans before resolving the outstanding issues. The reporting structure is cumbersome and inefficient. Distrust of Non-Spaniards from high levels of the organization means that you must be Spanish rise through the company. Most employees at headquarters are uncomfortable in languages other than Spanish, so if you do not speak Spanish you will be excluded from decision making conversations and will not be formally notified of plans that may be relevant to you.
