Pros
I won't lie, one of the main reasons I said yes to joining AP was the opportunity to work 100% remote. As a working parent, it makes a huge difference to not have a commute. What I didn't realize is how much I would learn and grow professionally when I joined this organization. The leadership team focuses on continuous improvement holistically and then also encourages it for each and every employee. What this looks like…. Every employee here has an opportunity to work on quarterly strategic projects that are outside of their day to day role. You’re encouraged to read business books. The leadership team invests in tools and technology that allows Managers to receive anonymous feedback and get better at leading. On top of the professional development, there is a focus on holistic well-being. Here are some real life conversations I’ve had with my Manager…”You should go work from a coffee shop and get the creative juices flowing”, ”I know you love to run, get out there in the middle of the day to clear your mind”, “It’s been a while since you’ve taken a vacation, you should plan one soon”. And in return…what is expected is that you work hard to support a business that boasts an impressive client roster and continues to grow because of the value they bring to their clients. Leadership is over the top transparent about every decision they're making and why they're making it. I could go on and on…Definitely the best place I have ever worked!!!
Cons
Not the place for someone who doesn't have a growth mindset
