Pros
No work pressure Easy to develop desired skills
Cons
Major red flags for freshers/people planning to join, is the 3 year bond "policy". The policy is in quotes because there are no solid/written policy, it is super fluidic, it can change when ever they want, also it is selectively enforced (many cases of bond being given to people with years of experience) And the policy can chage overnight if it benefits the company (money), but when ever it's the employees that are at the receiving end, it will never change. The whole thought process of the management is wrong (well from the owners/MDs perspective it good, they are making them more money, so they turn a blind eye). Let me give you an example: for the past couple of years, people are resigning regularly citing low salary/increment, so any competent management would work to improve the root cause of the problem i.e. low salary. But not this management, they have increased the notice period, form one month to two months, this move is only serving to estrange the employees further. Regarding low pay, the entry level engineer pay has gone down considerably when compared to 2014 (i.e. pre management change). This management is constantly trying to cut cost where ever possible. One example of this penny pinching is, what they did with the number of holidays offered to Graduate Engineer Trainee. Prior to 2020 GETs were offered 20 days of payed holiday, but since 2020 the number of holidays offered has been reduced to 12 days for the first year. This is subtle but this clearly shows their intent, get more work for less pay. This policy of trying to reduce costs (through withholding salary increments and reducing bonus), has created bad environment between the executive employees ( engineers) and the shopfloor employees, The shopfloor employees are protected by worker law, so it is tough for the management to implemented their new policies, this is leading to superiority complex, which is ruining the work environment.
