Pros
*On Wednesday you get free lunch *Experience for the resume *A wide array of projects to take on which can help build your skill set rapidly *The other developers are great and the team dynamic can be great when allowed to interact.
Cons
*Micromanagement from the president *Frequently have to fix issues caused in the application by said president *Some of the managers have the tendency to punch down on others when they get punched down on by the president. *Communication is incredibly poor. Both professionally and interpersonally. *Pay is incredibly low compared to industry standard. *Unwritten policies are common practice and you will be punished, either by shame or punitive action, for situations that are not part of the outlined policies in the employee handbook. *There is no HR department and as a result things are said, situations are mishandled, and threats are made. *The environment can be very damaging to your mental health. High stress, high conflict, you don’t ever really know when it’s safe to speak your mind or when you’ll get yelled at for it, and you feel like you’re constantly being watched.
