Pros
I have had a very positive experience working here as both an Early Intervention Special Education provider and SEIT. One of the biggest benefits is the flexibility to set my own schedule, which allows for a strong work-life balance. The level of support from the coordinators is outstanding. They are proactive and truly go above and beyond—reaching out to school districts, sending reminders, and consistently following up through calls and texts to ensure everything runs smoothly. That kind of support makes a significant difference in day-to-day work. My SEIT supervisor, Jolly and Marisol are thoughtful, and provide constructive feedback and are always available to discuss questions or concerns via phone or email. The entire team is responsive, collaborative, and committed to helping providers succeed.
Cons
If you work as part time (fee for service) you pay for your medical, which could also be one of the pros.
Pros
- flexible schedule, can mostly decide - working 1:1 with clients/ kids - ability to work with younger kids or teens - easy to take off when needed and reschedule - caring staff - short shifts (3-4 hours average) - ability to move up (BT is 20/hr, RBT is 24/hr at this company. they provide free training, take the RBT exam, and get paid a little more for basically the same work). - great experience to have all around. More opportunity to learn hands on how to help children with autism and behavioral issues, where these skills can definitely be applied in many other opportunities throughout life.
Cons
- pays significantly lower than other companies by 5-10 dollars per hour - hours are minimal. most you'll work may be 20-25 hours depending on how flexible your schedule and clients' schedules are. (Most kids are attending school and can start as early as 3 and then until 7:30-8. But, if you are taking on 1 client, they may need 10-15 hours, and another client may need the same amount, so it will make your weekday evenings full, plus additional hours leftover for just the two clients into the weekend). - clients can be violent and you may get hurt during a tantrum. It depends on the client and is not common. - may require diaper changing, also not common, but you may need to be comfortable with this.
