Pros
-work remotely from anywhere
-source your own accounts
-great salary
-great middle management and teamwork between reps
Cons
-poor planning decisions by senior leadership. Layoffs every 2 weeks, had the initiative to break into a new market in the US, hired 20 sales reps, and then failed to provide any training, direction, guidance, or tools to help with lead generation.
-VERY early startup. Little to no help from senior leadership for lead generation, no formal training, zero other tools to set reps up for success.
-I was originally told in my offer letter that in the next 60 days I would be a US W-2 employee - it never happened.
-the company is based in Chile, and as a contracted worker there is no chance of unemployment benefits when layoffs occur.
-It was extremely difficult to reach anyone in HR, standard turnaround for an email response was 4-6 business days.
-global head of sales continuously promised a lead generation work flow of ANY sort and never followed through. In addition to reassuring after the first layoffs that the rest of the US teams were absolutely safe until 2024; two weeks later there were more layoffs, and another round two weeks after that.
-leadership was never in sync with each other - each team did the same task differently, causing interdepartmental friction and delaying (or losing) customer business.
