Pros
- Salaries arrive on time - Ability to get specific days off as long as you say so in advance - 3 main shifts (6-11, 11-16, 16-21.30) and some additional shift flexibility make it easy to reach your weekly hours even if studying on the side - Most managers are decent - Restaurant dinner with coworkers twice a year (expenses covered) - Working at the main cash register is repeatitive but easy - 15% off in the store you work at - Coffee machine, fridge and microwave available for workers - You can store your stuff safely in lockers during shifts
Cons
- Terribly overcrowded stores and entitled customers - No fulltime offering for regular workers - Theft is very frequent and you'll be expected to monitor customers on the side - A lot of pressure to work fast when not at the register (personally wasn't able to meet expectations despite doing my best but that was probably still a failure on my end) - You cannot sit down if you work at the cash register (while this was not an issue for me, it could be for others) It's worth noting that these things could vary in another store, under different leadership!
