Pros
friendly coworkers, good personal development plans, being close to San Francisco.
Cons
I don't know where to start. Low salary, bad leadership all the way from the team managers to the CEO, and not so much learning opportunities. Almost no perks, unless you consider a cheap low quality bagel treat once a week (Friday Bagels) as your breakfast/perks. work/life balance almost does not exist unless you are fresh graduate at the starting point of your career with Acumen. Managers and leaders have a very old school chain of thoughts for technology and managing their directs. Different departments are lead by people who are VERY influenced by the CEO (you will have to figure this out yourself why) and there is a lot of resistance when new ideas are introduced. Every single time a new idea or technology is introduced it is simply dropped into a rabbit hole of conversations just because leadership does not understand the new platforms and is against changes. HR has strict rules for sponsoring. Do not fall for good sponsorship reviews. You will be locked in with the company because they will only sponsor you for non-profit H1B which will prevent you from switching employers for almost 3-4 years. You will have to stay with the company for a very long time. Acumen also does not have a flexible work from home policy.
