Pros
Full-time work, and some benefits, though expensive. Some friendly and professional team coworkers, solo work Benefits available if you are full-time (based on a business calculation, not hours worked).
Cons
Grossly underpaid (unlivable wage for what is demanded). Jealousy and others’ limits define your honesty in reporting. Gossip and inuendo used to justify arbitrary and capricious management decisions. No raises or cost of living adjustments. Ever. No kudos of any kind for excellent work, in fact, HR decides not to pay you at times and gives no reason. Left with the knowledge of being used and having to fight for compensation. Mileage compensation is $0.16 below IRS standard. No reimbursement for fuel or wear and tear. Requires you to provide vehicle insurance for work (if your personal carrier finds out, they WILL drop you). Requires employee asking of company permission to file for EIC or have your hours cut should they find out you filed without it (documented). No respect shown to employees at all. Team conference calls used to imply and intimidate high performers into ‘admitting’ their reporting is a lie (and some do lie). Email used as a threat system (documented threats to fire and blacklist with no justification). Have been emailed about 'corrections' to jobs deliberately undone by store personnel (photograph and signature records mean nothing).
