Pros

It’s a great place to work if you are an Adventist.

Cons

If you are a self-motivated, high-performing, hard-working employee, AdventHealth may not be the right culture for you. There are no merit increases for staff. There are no performance-related bonus incentives for staff. Depending on your department’s leadership, even simple verbal recognition or appreciation can be sparse or non-existent. Healthcare benefits are expensive if you work at Corporate. Combine that with organizational pressure to produce more with less FTEs, a deeply entrenched culture of favoritism and nepotism, and a decision-making process that starts with the decision and then looks for evidence to support what was already decided.

Pros

AdventHealth has a very welcoming, mission-driven culture with a strong focus on extending care through Christ. The campuses and office spaces are very nice, the compensation is competitive, and the community feels supportive. My early experience has been positive, organized, and encouraging.

Cons

I am still early in my time here, so I do not have many negatives yet. Like most large organizations, there is a lot to learn during onboarding, including systems, processes, and how different teams work together.

Pros

Decent management in my department

Cons

Human Resources is the most corrupt of any company, particularly in the Rocky Mountain Region. They try to avoid paying you and then retaliate when you have no choice but to get the department of Labor involved.
