Pros

Great Benefits. Pay is decent.

Cons

Coding is all about pushing out as many charts as possible. Definite quantity over quality mindset. Supervisor does not allow collaboration and wants to be head bull, treating coders as "lesser than". I was asked on numerous occasions to put 100+ charts on the "non-productive" hours which brings your numbers down. If you don't actually change a code you can't count that chart even though you reviewed and even emailed your supervisor regarding them which took days to get answers to questions. Remote positions are anything but flexible. Good luck if you have ADA/FMLA accommodations as they will not work with you and may find any way to get rid of you once requested. I wish I could say anything good but I can't, other than I am glad to be working elsewhere and being appreciated for my knowledge and experience.

Pros

I worked with Advent Health back in 2003, At Sunbelt, Across from Florida Hospital on Rollins before the expansion and the current car garage was built. My Skilled Nursing Facility and Rehab was there in that location before the expiration, Advent was a wonderful company to work for, and when I had to separate from them it was very hard to do, I loved my work with the peoplel and the patients.

Cons

It was hard to work in a older facility that was not as up to date as many of the others. Even though we were right next to Florida Hospital and we were their immediate rehab facility of discharge choice, especially when there was respiratory therapy involved.
