Pros

1) Interesting product. 2) Moderate workload. 3) Flexible / remote working options.

Cons

1) Company relies on investor funding (not cash flow positive, not even close). 2) Staff resignations are far too frequent (including new people) due to financial/management issues leaving your team understaffed. 3) Very early start up issues (Clueless Management/Engineering staff), causing an unstable work environment. 4) You’re pretty much left alone to get work done. It really wasn't a positive to work here.

Aerial Sphere Response

We are very sorry to hear about an unhappy former employee or independent contractor. Yes, we are definitely a startup reliant on investor funding – we are very lucky to be backed by private investors and private equity firms that believe in our vision and continue to invest as we meet our technical and revenue goals. We are doing some pretty cool stuff, like capturing 360-degree aerial imagery of the entire United States. We are not impervious to experiencing normal startup growing pains and have definitely seen some turnover in the last year and a half with the changing job market from COVID. The majority of our staff has benefited from the freedom to create their own career path and are not expected to follow a micromanaged set of expectations in their role. We strive to keep ALL of our employees happy while giving them the freedom to work in ways that make them most efficient and productive.

Pros

The team environment cultivated at AerialSphere is the best I have experienced in my 20+ year career. It's a genuinely positive and supportive place to work, and the technology being developed is truly exciting.

Cons

It's a start-up company, and while they offer good benefits, it's not as established as a larger org in that regard.

Pros

None any longer cause they are out of business.

Cons

Years of loyalty thrown out the window, stomped on and buried. The management never cared about the employees, because the reason we were given as to why is, we had to understand his someone is breathing down their neck to get rid of the company. The management only ever concentrated on trips out of town, conferences and would come back and tell us about all the fun they had but when it came time for raises they never had enough money. Absolutely amazing.
