Communication is ineffective at best, non-existent at worst. When you seek clarification you can sometimes be made to feel dumb for lack of a better work. Asking questions or providing feedback (when prompted) is met with defensiveness, as if it's a personal attack.
A lot of the people that are responsible for making decisions have not done the job of a monitoring specialist in decades and it shows with some of the processes they implement. If you dare pushback, prepare to have their tenure thrown in your face. It's such a tedious job to balance the egos of grown adults and trying to get your work done, but I guess that's corporate.
Upper management is not very diverse. Very few women and maybe 1 or 2 people of color despite their main monitoring workforce being majority black and Latino.
The company overall is resistant to change in the monitoring department, which is their bread and butter.
Also, there is obvious favoritism between the employees in the New Jersey office and the other satellite offices. Good luck trying to move up in the company if you're not in New Jersey.
