Pros

- Fast growing company This is true but for an employee at the bottom, it does not translate into much. - Tremendous growth trajectory True again. Leveraging the technology to build block products that can be sold...once again, not much for the bottom - Work with the brightest, most motivated people No comments. Some smart people - yes. a lot of mediocre people including at senior levels... yes. Would not go into details of embarassing gaffes in client meetings (thank god they go unnoticed) - Huge growth potential for anyone with talent and drive Ummmmmm. - Best client list in the business Every other company out there works with these clients. If we had them exclusively, we'd be on Nielsen's heels. - Fun and diverse environment Probably. But from a career perspective when everything else is not going great...this adds little value - Extremely innovative culture Doubt it when we sell standard products which limit potential to move away from the fixed framework...not to mention the ridiculous project load...where's the time for the average joe? Honestly, the CEO is outstanding. Over the past 6 years he has transformed the company from a nascent, slow-growth company with a transformational yet overlooked technology asset into one of the fastest growing software and services companies in the industry. He has a clear vision and despite his non-traditional demeanor, is extremely approachable and open to ideas from anyone in the company. This is true. The CEO is a great guy, one of the best people to learn from. But the problem is the subpar operations which he directly does not oversee.

Cons

Not a good fit for someone looking for big company environment or an easy paycheck If compensation is below average (which I'm not sure is the case), the opportunity for growth more than makes up for it. Will respond to these two together. No one wants an easy paycheck but noone wants to feel overworked either. The compensation is average (I agree with him) but then FOR AN INNOVATIVE firm that breaks the norms in technology but not in how its operations are structured...I leave my judgement in the balance. A promotion adding a couple of thousands to the base and some meager commission is not "growth makes up for it" Job security is not a given and promotions are not tenure-based- yet if you are good at what you do and versatile, you are recognized, promoted, and rewarded without hesitation. It happens all the time here. True for some parts of the organization but not others. Another way to read into it would be to say, likability, being "seen" by the influential nodes - there are 2-3 people who you'll need to seek "guidance" from, "show intent to" for word about your brilliance to gain weight. I'd rather not quote the example of some brilliant people who have been overlooked for those being seen as workhorses. Lack of formal performance review is what you can expect from a high-growth operation. I personally have not experienced a lack of on-the-spot feedback and the culture is such that all you have to do is ask. lack of a formal review means the inability to talk specifics, rely on personal rapport with coworkers (i.e., suck up to the next level)....need I say more.

Pros

I came from a Fortune 500 company to join Affinnova. I was nervous at first transitioning to such a smaller company until i met with Waleed, CEO, during my interview process. He shared his visions and ideas and plans for Affinnova and showed how he cared to grow each department and really valued the department I would be joining. Meeting with him really sealed the deal for me. The department I was in at the Fortune 500 company struggled to be noticed and valued for the 4 years I was there, so it was refreshing to see a company place value tat department instead. Not to mention how exciting it is to be interviewing with the CEO and even after being hired working closely with him as well. I have already had a lot of exposure across senior management which has been a great experience for me. It’s great to come to work with such smart and innovative people who are excited and believe in the work they do. Plus, there is so much growth that happens to the company and its employees. I drive a commute of an hour and 10 minutes (with no traffic) every day, because that's how much i enjoy my job.

Cons

Being a global company is a great part of Affinnova, but there are a few struggle to really gain a solid culture across the board. This attributes to having an outside sales team which is a big part of Affinnova, but any company with an outside sales team struggles to find that solid culture across all avenues.
