Great team, but toxic leadership and culture - Anonymous employee Agilent Technologies Employee Review

Pros

On a team level you will work with some of the best, most dedicated people, that you’ve ever worked aside. However that is where the pros end.

Cons

Everyone at the c suite level and above are the epitome of toxic corporate culture and a combination of dangerously inept and harmful. They will work you to the point of illness and then beyond. If you get seriously ill they will suddenly make a department change and your position will be made redundant. People in cancer treatment being fired. Disgusting behaviour. They will constantly tell you there is no money for upgrades, improvements, raises, personnel and then will spend millions on executive first class travel and office upgrades. To their offices only. Whatever awards they used to win are so far in the past. Do not work here, whatever you think it is, I promise it is not.

Pros

My team and I like being in a company doing good in the world. Can advance my career.

Cons

Pace is flat out and looks like it will stay that way. It’s hard to look at better ways to work when people are stretched trying to get something done then move to the next

Pros

The stock price went up a bit!

Cons

I've been with Agilent for quite some time, but since the CEO transition, the overarching sense of alignment and shared purpose has seriously eroded. It's like we're operating in silos. The Enterprise Communications Division, in particular, is perceived as disconnected from what the rest of the company actually does day‑to‑day. There's an ivory tower mentality that's really depressing.
