Pros

Some of the reviews on here are negative, and I have to say that's not my experience at all. This is a good job. Definitley, remote work is great. The company is profitable, and stable, if you've worked at a startup then you know how terrible it can be to be worried about getting paid, and if you've worked at a big company then you know how it is when everyone's scared of getting laid off. I've done both, and this is a solid company from that side. I think that for the most part the pay is good, and the benefits are too. I can't speak for every department. Profit share is substantial, and it's a nice bonus to count on every year. People are generally nice and there is no back stabbing. They also all share all of the company performance in calls every week which is nice, and you don't feel like you are just a cog, and not knowing how things are *actually* going. I feel like my manager takes me seriously, and I never feel like anyone is trying to take credit for my work. There are some really smart people working here, some of the smartest you'll meet. It's easy to get lost but, if you're willing to work they'll give you interesting things to work on. The on-site trips are in great locations, and the team does a wonderful job of organizing with activities.

Cons

Remote work as others said, but this isn't a remote job like you might think you really have to work a lot and be available. It's not any different then if you're working in an office in that sense. You can't just take off, and go to lunch for hours. It's fine to time for appointments, and no one gets on your case if you need to go do something as long as you tell your team. Common sense, normal stuff. On-sites can be long with every minute of your day is scheduled, and it gets exhausting. Vacation time is not good, and there's no sick leave you have just one bank of paid leave. You'll be expected to work over weekends. It seems like some departments work harder than others and although they ask for feedback it can be hard to speak up in a big group especially when you're having to respond directly to the CEO in front of everyone. We're all working hard but it can seem like it's never enough and eventually some people will burn out. Sometimes it feels like smart people are hired but, then put to work on basic things.

We have done our best to build a company that respects each individual and performs at an exceptionally high level. I appreciate that you recognize that. But we are not perfect every moment. And not everyone describes what perfection is in the same way. As you pointed out we have nearly removed "drama" from the company which is something we should all be proud of. We think the benefits that we offer are meaningful and we recently posted more information about them publicly here: https://www.aha.io/company/careers/benefits But your experience might be different depending on the companies you have worked in or the country you are in. Most importantly, in an organization that is approaching 100 people, the culture is all of ours. If you want it to remain as it is — it is important for you to promote why it is special to you and what makes it unique. I would be happy to discuss how you think we can all do that if you want to talk about it now or at the upcoming onsite in person.

Pros

I have been working for Aha! for almost six years now. I joined Aha! because everything I read about the product, the people, the work, and the company seemed unlike any other company I have worked for. It was inspiring to me. Several years later, and it is still inspiring. I get to work with the best in the business. I get to do work every day that I love. My fellow Aha!s are brilliant, hard working, and kind. They care about the work they do and they care about the people they work with. Getting together with them twice a year at onsites is truly a highlight. The product is incredible and always improving. I cannot imagine not using it every day to do my job. It is just that good and the people that built it are even better. It makes me proud to work at Aha!.

Cons

An incredible amount of effort is put into daily work, sometimes it is easy to get so buried in it that you forget to pause and celebrate what you have achieved. Take a breath, it's okay to do so.
