      Pros

      Direct management and customer base was great. Flexible schedule.

      Cons

      From the AVP and up, do not expect them to care one bit about you getting paid or your opinions on anything. They will change the pay structure to benefit the outlook for the year. Unlike most local suppliers, Airgas doesn’t want to be involved with the community.

      Pros

      Steady work with consistent OT. Pay is average. They employ a minimal number of drivers (and equipment) so you will definitely get your hours. If someone leaves, takes PTO, or a truck goes down, it gets spread across the remaining drivers.

      Cons

      Benefits are average at best. Most drivers are expected to work holidays. PTO is approved on seniority basis so don’t plan on being home with family during these times. No shortage of micromanagement. Definitely feel like a line item on a spreadsheet somewhere and not a human.
