Pros
The biggest highlight of working at Airlock is undeniably the dedication and integrity of the staff outside of the top leadership. I consistently found my peers to be highly collaborative, supportive, and genuinely invested in doing the right thing on a daily basis. There is a strong sense of camaraderie among the team members, who often band together to produce quality work despite any challenges from the top down.
Cons
I felt a strong disconnect between the top leadership's priorities and the core values of the rest of the company. In my experience, leadership heavily prioritized financial metrics, which sometimes created a stressful environment regarding how we were instructed to handle client communications. I was personally uncomfortable with the level of transparency leadership provided to our customers. I ultimately left because my own ethical standards did not align with the direction the co-founders were taking the company. There's a general hate for Apple products in the company and everyone is provided a Microsoft Surface laptop with no alternative and they are heavily invested in Office 365 like an accounting firm from 2005. The only silver lining is that they use Slack instead of Microsoft Teams.
