Pros

There are a select few really great, caring and knowledgeable professionals working and giving their all for this organization and cause. In the past, the organization has raised a tremendous amount of money towards new and innovative breakthroughs in cancer research.

Cons

People are in positions that they are clearly unqualified for. You have senior management making 100K+ a year that can barely turn on a computer. If you are lucky to get any training or documentation when you first start the job, it will usually be met with annoyance or hostility most likely because the individual themselves does not want to be exposed for their lack of knowledge or because there is hardly any documentation. Emotional, verbal and physical abuse is overlooked and ignored by senior management that leads to staff taking stress leave, quitting or getting fired. When you complain for the thousandth time, they usually just have a talk with the individual. Usually the most likely route undertaken by management is avoidance by way of closed doors. The current senior management is being paid hard-earned donor money to carry out tasks that can be done by volunteers or staff with a 1/4th of the pay instead of focusing on strategically leading the company. I'm sure everyone likes that all staff, no matter who they are, "rolling up their sleeves and digging in the trenches" but once in awhile not continuously for weeks and getting paid $80/hr to carry out "paper pushing" tasks. I know, as a donor, I would be very angry as I would want my hard earned donations to be used as effectively as possible. Management would argue they need to do these simple tasks as it is about staff shortages but the reality is it is about turning a blind eye to abuse, incompetence and egotism that leads to staff turnover.
