Pros
The only redeeming factor at AMA is the caliber of people in non-leadership roles, who bring genuine talent and decency. They deserve far more than the organization gives them.
Cons
Plenty of jokes circulate about companies that say they treat you “like family”—it’s usually a huge red flag. This place is the textbook example. The leadership style is outdated, self-serving, and quick to sacrifice staff whenever it’s convenient. The environment is corrosive to the point of being hazardous, and the lofty statements about equity, diversity, and inclusion are little more than window dressing. Employees are chronically overloaded, morale is shot, and resources are poured into appeasing the Board while the workforce is left underpaid, overworked, and exhausted. Nearly everyone I know is searching for a way out.
