Pros

None, it is a filthy, disgusting company to work for, that anyone with a sense of pride and diginity would not work at, selling Pumps to Diabetic men to get hard at ten times over the cost. The bill Medicare. Talk about ripoff

Cons

First off it is a sweat shop of sorts. They expect you to work with no breaks. A 8 hr day with a 30 min break. They pay crap which no one can live on. It is a company you should not work for. The management is unqualified, they only have their jobs because they probably "do" things for the management before or after work on their backs or knees.

Pros

I worked at Alere for a year and I had a positive experience. I was surrounded by many talented colleagues across several functions. I learned a lot while working here.

Cons

No option to be remote

Pros

Location is convenient to those living in the valley and bay area. Casual dress code, and representatives on the floor (without laptops) are great.

Cons

Senior management is a joke. None of senior management has been promoted based on their ability to do the job, but rather instead of who's been there the longest, and who is favored. The employees are treated with such disrespect, not to mention overworked and underpaid. Managers and supervisors are never to be found. Policies are constantly changing with no notification, other than a write up for not following the new procedure. Sr. management plays favorites. When surveys were given to address issues within the company and how the company can do better, pay was the top concern from employees, but was not addressed, and is no longer on the surveys. Sr Management has violated HIPAA on numerous occasions and there have been 0 consequences. Do not confide any personal information to Sr. management because they clearly don't understand the meaning of confidential. This place is also very unstable right now, do no believe the hoopla they tell you during interviews on how great it is, and what great things they are doing. They have moved most of the jobs to the Philippines, chances are, yours is next.
