Pros
If you keep working at a decent pace its not too difficult. If you are willing to work, it can be a good first job since it doesn't require difficult skills, you just have to handle the cold. You are made to do it absolutely alone so no one will bother you. Its possible to work the entire shift with earbuds and not speak to anyone.
Cons
You have to work fast enough to get each truck shipment on the shelf before it thaws or melts. You don't get a freezer to store product in, you have to complete it as fast as you can. The management is unwilling to run the store effectively, often doing the bare minimum to get corporate off their back. The pay is pathetic compared to the work you do, and you won't get more than a 40cent raise each year. You have no chance at career growth. This is just a minimum wage job that doesn't cover the minimum living wage in SC.
