Pros
The work was easy. They have a few different titles for it now but a Care Manager/Reimbursement Specialist/Claims Processor are all inbound call positions. Back-to-back inbound call positions. But the work was easy.
Cons
I held a contract position with a constant promise of full-time employment. The contract was supposed to be for 3 months then my performance would be evaluated to determine if I met the requirement for a full-time employee. I consistently exceeded every performance review and was told I would be brought on. That never happened. I started in 07/2022, after 3 months I did notice some of my hiring class where no longer online. Then another 3 months went by, and I was told to standby and keep coming to work they will handle the transition from contract to full-time in the background. But again nothing ever happened. This went on until 05/2023 and they let me go. They told me my contract had expired as a lot of other people and they will be sending me a return shipping box. I was so confused because I had turned down actual full-time positions from other companies with the promise of full-time employment with them. I went unemployed for 3 months but when I started working again they called me asking if I would be available to come back, I said yes. Started back 09/2023 and quit 12/2023. It's not right how these companies dangle full-time employment and benefits over contract employees. The employee is expected to keep their word, these companies should too. Now I know with a contract position there are a lot of moving parts but if there was no guarantee of full-time employment, then why offer it? Morally and ethically it's just not right and I would not go back to work for this company full-time or otherwise.
Also, because I was contract there was no PTO, no benefits and no opportunity to move up. I did not like this at all.
