Thanks for submitting a review. First of all, I’m glad you liked the contact that you’ve had with your colleagues. It’s true, we have a lot of amazing people on board who are really committed to what we’re trying to achieve as a company. This is something special and we work hard to keep it that way. When it comes to the other items, there are some things which are not entirely true. When the decision is made to lay someone off, then that decision is always (always!) discussed with the manager in question and the regional unit team. These are decisions we never take lightly, ever. Secondly, you claim HR comes on the day we lay someone off. But we don’t have any ‘HR’ in that sense. So I’m not sure whom you are referring to? Let me clearly say the following: We will never work with a separate HR department that has any say in things such as salaries, evaluations, or laying off personnel, etc. Put even more strongly, I can honestly say that I hate companies that ‘use’ HR to do the dirty job of laying off personnel. In my opinion, that’s never how you should treat your employees. If you take the decision to lay someone off, then own up to the decision and always, always, carry out the decision yourself. On a sidenote: We have HR admin roles but that is something entirely different. They only support in the practical sense of the word. When it comes to blaming developers, I’m not sure what you really mean. It’s true that it’s not always easy to align with all consultants prior to, and during, their onboarding. Especially when it comes to expectations. Their expectations of us (AllPhi) and our expectations of them as consultants. I assume this is what you meant? We’re working hard on improving on this front and we’ve already taken a lot of steps in the right direction. Because these are situations we should avoid as much as possible. When it comes to underpaying. Well, first let me say that I think our salary packages are almost as complete as they could possibly be. The base salary itself is negotiable 3 times per year and should always reflect your ‘market value’, as we have defined it. I won’t go into the specifics here but you can always ask for clarification. And obviously, we benchmark regularly to check for evolutions in the landscape. Of course, everyone would love to have a higher salary. I get that. But in my honest opinion, we would not have 90 consultants on our payroll if we weren’t fair with our compensation.
