Pros

I loved all my coworkers! They were all super nice and made work easier and time fly faster:)

Cons

At first to meet sales goals, the manager would keep our store open 1-1.5 hrs past closing just to try to get those last sales to make day. Cleaning and straightening during closing is tedious. Dresses are packed full into a rack where it's almost impossible to shop comfortably. For markdowns, there wasn't technology to make this easier. Employees would have to bring each item to the cash wrap to scan and see if it's on sale and then hand write the new prices on each tag. What was the best thing about this company was it's motto and it's basis on faith, which included closed Sundays. Now they made a business decision to stay open all weekend. They expect us to provide world class customer service to each individual shopper, while managing an organized backroom- they're good ideas! But not possible in practice. Especially on a weekend where people pour in and all of us are busy retrieving shoes from the backroom and using the hook to find the right size of that pretty dress way up high.

Pros

Everyone that isn’t a leader is nice in my opinion

Cons

They wanted us to be more peppy and cheerful, but when I did it the manager would ask me why am I being loud. But when I was quiet they would assume something is wrong with me and talk behind my back about how they think I don’t want to be there. I just have to ask why is it considered loud when I follow the standards.. these were managers talking about this (store manager & district manager). You would think if there was an actual issue with my customer service performance a customer would complain about me or the manager would politely ask me if I’m doing okay instead of talking behind my back and making assumptions. It makes me wonder why was I singled out amongst the entire team? It came off as micro aggressive and offensive as a poc.
