Pros

Most of the people you will encounter who work here are smart. Really smart. Some ability to flex and comp your time.

Cons

Management is not only out of touch with their staff, the executives of the company have not had an all staff meeting in around 2 years now, instead choosing to hid behind a blog that they rarely publish and rarely respond to comments on. Benefits used to be great but now the entire company is left with a high deductible insurance plan that will really only save them if they're in a life threatening situation. Management has made several bad decisions recently, from hires/terms to investments in other companies. This has left the company apparently strapped for cash as spending holds and layoffs seem to be commonplace now. The lack of communication from management has led to very low employee morale.

Pros

Engaged, motivated new leadership team with market-relevant and tech-forward skills Highly knowledgeable program staff and subject matter experts in public health domains Friendly, easy to work with people who collaborate effectively Nonprofit mission dedicated to measurable impact on improving people's lives

Cons

Like all organizations in the public health space, Altarum has faced a more limited amount of work available lately for a growing number of organizations to pursue, so this requires operating in a challenging business environment at times
