Pros

1. Being around seamstresses all day and learning about sewing 2. Picking through the abandoned clothes and scrap materials 3. My coworkers are all incredible people + Lots of diversity across ages, Nationalities, and identities.

Cons

1. You will receive almost no training and be expected to be able to sort through the faulty POS system that is always slow and often freezes or deletes all the information you put in while ringing out a customer. 2. This business attracts a certain kind of customer that enjoys lording over and ridiculing service workers. Also because fast fashion like shein and fashion nova have made everyone think that clothes should be cheap, get ready to deal with LIVID customers who have 0 understanding of sewing who will be shocked to learn that their billion alterations wont cost $3. They will also expect you to tell them in detail what the processes are for alterations and cleaning, and then get upset if you do not know. 3. It is almost always busy, and we are always short-staffed, so be expected to work completely alone for hours on end without help or breaks. It is very common during busy season to work 10+ hour days without a break (hey this is illegal) 4. Because we are low-staff, everything is constantly disorganized, and you'll often be running around the store trying to find items
