Thank you for your thoughtful input. It’s difficult to reply to some of the statements about boundaries or being asked to go above and beyond. We’d be very open to a call if you want to talk it through.
It’s true that the company has evolved, and would venture to say that most firms of any size and any industry are in the shift of their lives. The economic situation demands that we strive more than ever to be excellent, to surpass our clients’ expectations. We are emphasizing process and active participation in every single job order, and the KPIs that align to good service. It’s disappointing to hear that you were not given clear guidance as we are working continually to be clear and coach to success.
It's also true that wonderful people have moved on to other things, in the industry or outside it. This has been a time of huge movement in HR, talent acquisition, payroll and recruitment roles. I’m sure you’re seeing this too among friends and on LinkedIn. There’s been a lot of repositioning and we’re not immune to it.
Two things can be true at the same time: we have many great people loving their role and future, we have some great people who are seeking something different. We support them in this journey and wish them a beautiful career. After exploring the market, some may return to us in the future as some already have returned. We’re open.
As for profit over people, this is not accurate. Margins in the staffing sector are challenging, and to the contrary, we have retained and developed people over profit. Not to be demonstrated on this platform, but our data is clear that we are prioritizing the right hiring, the right retention, the right learning and coaching, and the right promotions. It’s not easy, but I assure you that just because we are asking people to give their best, doesn’t mean that we don’t value them. Quite the opposite.
A good reminder here in your comments: we have to continue to express gratitude and coach our team members for their continued success, and be sure that our asks are well understood. We have to ensure that we continue to communicate our financials for transparency (as we do routinely in our All Hands). Every role is so important and we may need to do more to link our goals to the outcomes, and vice versa.
We appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts. You know my cell number, and our leader’s email and cell, please feel free to reach out.
