Pros
You get paid. Plus a few people you meet are nice but the morale is rock bottom. If you're a slimeball or researching toxic workplaces, you'll love this.
Cons
Wow, really unsure where to start... working at Altius Group was a truly miserable and depressing experience. You're just not made to feel welcome at all and you quickly realise that the majority of the office are miserable and looking for another job. You try and make chit chat but because morale is so low and the turnover of staff is so high, people don't really want to get to know you. To them, you're just one in a long line of new starters and they are understandably miserable themselves. No career development or induction or training or even basic support. I saw angry arguments on the office floor, a steady trickle of passive aggressive emails in mine and others inboxes, staff stressed and crying, people leaving their desks to never return, fresh meat constantly wheeled in for an interview and sold the same thing you were. The pay was poor. Statutory sick pay. No possibility of working from home so trying to do job interviews on a lunch break is tricky. Plus after six months your notice period increases to 2 months to make your escape from Alti-traz even more difficult. This is the least of your worries, but the icing on the cake is the antiquated IT equipment that is unfit for purpose.
