Pros
A great place to step into the accounting world. The position is almost fully remote — you only need to be in the office one day per month. Supervisors are very supportive, helpful, and dedicated to helping employees succeed. The company offers a decent amount of PTO, which increases after 5 and 11 years of employment. Deadlines are manageable as long as you plan your time well. There is also a bonus paid every March. The work environment offers a lot of freedom with very little micromanagement.
Cons
The salary is relatively low, with annual increases of around 3%, which can be challenging given the current cost of living. Additionally, the accounting software (SmartStream) feels outdated and appears to have been designed for older versions of Windows. Because of this, it can sometimes be unstable and crash during use.
