Pros

Boss seriously appreciates us, treats us like extended family. Management is like family. They want you to be the best you. We work for good people, and help them help others. Once you've got it down, it's fun. They give regular raises as long as you're performing as required. They give a lot of chances to get stuff right. I am not a number, I am a person. Boss even buys us snacks.

Cons

I'm not gonna lie, a job is work. The busy season is tiring, sometimes we have to stay later, but the work is finite. We leave when we finish. Training is hard, because there's so much to learn. (Although we try to be very compassionate when we train.) It's hard to get Mondays off in the busy season, but the mgmt takes circumstances into acct. Sick days are the same as paid or unpaid time off.

Pros

There are a lot of opportunities to grow in the company if you want to move up. The relationships with out inspectors and their clients/agents is very rewarding and special. We get paid very well and don't have to worry about down-sizing during the slow months. We do have a lengthy interview and training process, but that is because we have a very complicated job and it takes a certain type of person to be able to do it and do it well. Our owner, Paul, is an incredible person and he makes us better people just by his example.

Cons

This is a stressful job, especially during the busy season. You have to be able to juggle a few things at once and maintain a positive outlook to survive. Since it is a team environment, bad attitudes can affect those around you. You can also get callers that are heated and you have to be able to take the heat and stay calm on the call. We get vacation and unpaid time off, but no sick days (you have to use Unpaid time off or paid time off). Taking off time in the summer is difficult to get approved, especially on a Monday since we are so busy at that time.
