Good but selective - Sales Representative American Array Solar Employee Review

Pros

People are extremely successful over time. As you gain experience and comfort in the position you start to make a lot of money. You get $50 for setting up a meeting and another $400 if it sells. The managers are very good and are generally able to get a sale on most meetings. Good group of sales reps. Looks very good on resumes.

Cons

There is a large learning curve. It takes a while to get decent and a long time to get good. There is no training program making the learning curve even worse. It is purely commision based so if you cannot sell well you will not gain anything.

Pros

Possibility of getting commission Free lunch (Sometimes)

Cons

The pay is not competitive at all and you have no benefits. They don’t allow you to work from home and they expect you to show up to work even if you have covid. The management is not understanding on these circumstances and even required to schedule doctors appointment or get sick on a friday to avoid conflicts to work schedule (like that’s even possible). The management overall is bad, the owners complain that there is no system and its true because they do a terrible job running their business— its obvious they never had to work a day in their lives.
