Pros

I have worked at Path for just over two years.  In that time I’ve been able to grow my responsibilities, and compensation, significantly.  Unlike a number of my co-workers, and, it seems, some of the people who have written reviews for Path here on Glassdoor, I have a lot of experience in the workplace outside of this company.  I’ve worked in a number of industries (publishing, journalism, public relations) for over a dozen different employers, so I think I have some perspective on this place that others might find useful.   I’ll just say it—I have rarely *ever* experienced a more dynamic, supportive and challenging place to work.  The people that work here and stay are truly special.  Smart as hell, no drama, extremely competent and professional.  They work as a team, and they actually like each other.  Honestly, this place has an incredible social community that is not at all common in my experience.   They throw company happy hours and movie nights and whathaveyou in the front-of-the house lounge, but they also sponsor free fitness classes that a surprising number of people attend, even lazy slobs like me. I think this says a lot about the place. Path employees tend to see this as a place worth investing themselves in.  I like that.

Cons

There is no getting around that this is an intense place to work.  The company is run by hands-on executives and managers who are passionate about their work—and expect you to be too.  They set very high standards for the work they do on behalf of their clients, so this can mean some long hours, but the leave policy is generous and flexible.  It also means that, yes, of course, you have to be accountable for your efforts, but I’ve actually found the time tracking to be really helpful for keeping me focused on the tasks that are actually important for our clients and revenue-generating for the company. Otherwise, you’re just ping-ponging from one squeaky wheel to the next.

Pros

Awesome place to get a ton of experience from people who are good at their jobs. Technical training, a bit of client work, and good practice.

Cons

Internship was unpaid which....come on. Sometimes the internship program felt a bit scattered, but other than that, no real complaints.

Pros

There are still pockets of employees who want to do great work and are pleasant to work with.

Cons

Terrible pay. Leadership is horrendous and does not take feedback. Long hours are expected at an agency, however you’re expected to work 55+ hour weeks.
