Pros

Non management employees are all very friendly.

Cons

When you start working at Anatolia Tile + Stone you think it is a great place to work but after a couple months of being there you realize the truth. That you were mistaken and it is a horrible place to work. You wake up dreading to go into work every day and the damage you are doing to your car every day when you have to drive on that uneven parking lot. Probably the worst I have seen in years. When you get there, even if you are salary, you have to tap in and if you are late don’t worry they will ensure you make up those minutes (EVEN IF IT’S ONLY JUST A COUPLE MINUTES). Never stay late even for a minute any day because if you do and you are a couple minutes late the next day you still have to make up the time. If you have an appointment and had to schedule it during the day, forget them being flexible with your work schedule. They will tell you to schedule it outside of work and won’t try to work with you. The worst part is they reduced the hours worked from 42.5 to 40 hours a work and act like there doing their employees a favor. Meanwhile they are finally meeting the workforce standards. The management style is very micromanaging. The office has all glass walls even around the owners and VP’s offices. Allowing them to see you any time of the day, and if they are away from the office do not worry they have cameras all over the place recording what their employees are doing. The cameras even roll on a feed in the owner’s and VP offices. You are watched 24/7 there and questioned if anything is out of the norm. If you have your own idea, keep it to yourself because you will just get dismissed and constant eye rolls when you suggest an idea. I had so much anxiety of making a mistake even when I was still learning the job because of getting reprimanded. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR MISTAKES AT THIS COMPANY. Every department has a couple hard working employees who do the work and keep the department rolling. The management team doesn’t appreciate their work or treat them with any respect. If you think you will be able to have a work life balance at Anatolia Tile and Stone, forget about that. If you take one day off, be prepared to be bombarded with emails. It’s almost like punishment for taking one day off. On some of your days off be prepared to have calls from your manager about what’s going on with this, or how do we do this. Not much of a day off. Even if you log on from home because you have too much on your plate to finish between the 9 HOURS you are already there it is not good enough. Management will pick apart what you haven’t done rather than praise you for what you have accomplished. There is no value of what their employees offer. People are leaving left, right and center. Current employees will spend hours training new employees only for them to walk out a couple weeks later. Then the employee is back to doing double the work load. Sometimes you are doing other people’s work load for an extended period of time, more than a year. If employees don’t leave on their own they are firing people at least monthly. The overall attitude of the company and its management team is you are just a number and can be replaced. You should be honored you work here and if you don’t act how we want you to act you will be fired.

Thank you for your post. The company listens to employees and takes their feedback very seriously based on the feedback received via legitimate business routes - such as engagement surveys, focus groups and market data analysis. As an entrepreneurial organization, we understand that continued growth and subsequently the requirement to be continuously changing can be difficult for some team members and understand that it is a fast-paced, goal-driven and customer-centric environment that may not be suited to everyone. We sincerely appreciate the effort that all team members contribute to the organization and sincerely value and appreciate those that continue to support the company as we pursue a global footprint.
