Building relationships with the kids.
Cons
No breaks. Guilt trips or outright denial when you try to call off sick (even with COVID). Management is MIA. Teachers are expected to pick up the slack when they are short-staffed. Employee turnover is frequent and there are a lot of vacant positions. If parents are late, you will stay after hours with the kids because the management, who are salaried, will not stay.
