Pros

Honestly the main reason I stayed here for the year or so I did is because I worked with good co workers my age (20-25) and because they were flexible with my school schedule. The managers were nice and did the best with what they were given. Also we get commission for things we sell which can be really nice.

Cons

Given the pros, most of those people have left and I wouldn’t work here for those pros anymore. This company has significantly degraded since the new management from California took over late 2023. They have cut costs in any way possible and cut hours for employees. Employees were overworked because they were doing 4 people’s job solely because “employees cost too much.” Oceanic is hands down one of the worst management companies for this inn and they don’t care much for their employees or about the guest experience. I never had anyone from upper management ask for my opinion on how things are going, given I knew the place better than them. I never felt appreciated by them either. They would visit and just complain instead of try to be positive and constructive. There are probably 30 more cons that I could list.

Pros

I worked at The Anniversary Inn and found the experience very unorganized and stressful. Management often changed schedules without warning, and payroll was wonky. My hours were reduced after clocking out, and direct deposit was never processed correctly, even though it was set up weeks earlier. Employees were required to clock out for 20 minute breaks that were unpaid, which is not in line with Utah labor law. HR communication was minimal, and questions about pay or scheduling went unanswered. I was also rushed into a management promotion discussion with no clear structure, raise, or proper training. Expectations were confusing, and the property felt constantly short staffed and disorganized. In early October I discovered a shot glass with alcohol behind the front desk while a company executive was on site, which raised serious concerns about professionalism. Pros: Beautiful property and kind guests

Cons

Payroll and communication issues Unpaid short breaks Lack of organization and support Unprofessional conduct on site
