Pros
Cursor is, without question, the best place I’ve ever worked. There’s an exceptionally high level of trust and autonomy here — people are empowered to own their work and make decisions without unnecessary oversight. The leadership style is flat, thoughtful, and deeply respectful, which creates an environment where great ideas can come from anywhere.
The people are humble, kind, motivated, and incredibly talented. There’s a very high bar, but zero ego. Everyone genuinely wants to do great work and help each other succeed. It’s a true builder culture with clarity of vision and a strong sense of purpose.
Cons
The pace is faster than anything I’ve ever experienced. Despite best efforts, there is inevitable rapid change, and at times things can feel a bit thrashy given both the speed of execution and the newness of the industry. This environment won’t be for everyone, but for people who enjoy building in ambiguity and moving quickly, it’s incredibly energizing.
