Pros

Some of the colleagues are genuinely nice and supportive

Cons

1. Micromanagement and Overbearing Time Tracking: Micromanagement seems to be ingrained in the culture. Employees are subjected to constant scrutiny, as the management requires them to log in and track every minute they spend on tasks. 2. Excessive Unnecessary Meetings: Meetings at this company seem endless and often lack a clear purpose. Valuable time is wasted in unproductive discussions that could be better utilised for meaningful work. 3. Forced Presence and Empty Talks: Employees are pressured to demonstrate their presence by contributing to meetings, even when the discussions are irrelevant to their roles. This approach creates a superficial atmosphere and detracts from the real issues at hand. 4. Feedback Process is Superficial: While the company claims to value feedback, it appears to be merely a formality. Management rarely takes meaningful action based on the feedback received, and those providing negative feedback may face repercussions rather than support. 5. Office Prioritisation: It's evident that one of the offices is prioritised over other locations, leading to disparities in resource allocation and opportunities for growth. 6. Poor Senior Management: Some senior managers lack effective leadership skills, causing mismanagement of operations. This results in heavy workloads and unrealistic expectations placed on employees. 7. Lack of Accountability: Management tends to make questionable decisions but seldom takes responsibility for the consequences. Instead, lower-level employees are unfairly penalised, even if they were not involved in the decision-making process.

Pros

You're given real ownership here. For a company of around 50 people, the breadth of responsibility you can take on is genuinely unusual — I've had exposure to multiple international regions and interesting cases that have developed my skills quickly. The company is also genuinely forward-thinking when it comes to technology; there was early exploration of AI, and there's real freedom to experiment with and embed AI tools into your work. That kind of openness isn't something you find everywhere, and if you're someone who wants to stay at the cutting edge, it's a meaningful advantage. The work itself is interesting, particularly if you're drawn to financial intelligence and operating across different jurisdictions

Cons

Communication from leadership could be significantly better — decisions and direction aren't always shared transparently or in good time, which can leave people feeling out of the loop on things that directly affect them. The people infrastructure also hasn't kept pace with the company's ambitions. Career progression pathways are limited, and there's a gap between the scope people actually operate at and how their roles are formally recognised. Growth hits a natural ceiling quickly, and once you've learned what there is to learn, there isn't always a clear next step.
