Pros
Really great co-workers! In midtown Sacramento.
Cons
Being an employee of this company is the biggest con of all. The COO is a self-righteous, misogynist, who favors certain employees. Management views their editors as ignorant and recyclable; they show no respect or gratitude for all of the mandatory overtime hours worked. Management (mostly the COO) neglects the intelligence of many of their workers. There seems to be a perception that if you're young, lively, and in an entry-level position, you're dumb. They do not focus on how we are trying to build community with one another, how we are accept the lower positions so we can get a foot in the door, how we are actually intelligent adults, with college degrees, working hard to have a life. Oh, and if the COO likes an employee, who after time, resigns, he has the office throw them a goodbye party; when I resigned, I got asked to leave early and then was walked out of the building like some criminal. I worked there for nearly three years. Hardly ever missing a day. Never had any disciplinary issues. Always early. Stayed late. I tried to encourage group outings. I devoted a lot of myself to this ungrateful company. I don't know how to express, more than I have, for job seekers to not seek employment here. Honestly, having no job is better than working here.
